Nathalia businesses announce fertiliser changes.

22  March 2018 – Fertgrain & James Stockfeed & Fertilizers Pty Ltd  are pleased to announce changes to their business structures that will see the JSF fertilizer component of their business transferred to fellow Nathalia business FertGrain.

James Stockfeed & Fertilizers will become Rex James Stockfeed, or “RJS”, as part of the change, which will come into effect immediately.

RJS General Manager Adrian Moule said transferring fertilizer services to FertGrain would enable both businesses to grow as they continued to support local farmers.

“To enable growth in our stock  feed business, we will make investments in storage, handling and capacity, and we need to re-task some of the existing capacity used by the fertilizer component of the business as well,” he said.

“We decided the best way to move forward was to transfer the fertilizer side of the business to FertGrain, enabling our valued customers in Nathalia and elsewhere to continue to have access to a local fertilizer supplier, as we understand that is an important aspect for many in the community.

“We know that our fertilizer customers will continue to support FertGrain, just as they have supported James Stockfeed & Fertilizers for more than 30 years.”

FertGrain, located adjacent to RJS in Nathalia, will continue to provide fertilizers delivered direct and on an ex-Nathalia basis for local farmers. It will also supply spreading services.

Through expansion of its stockfeed business, RJS will provide local grain growers with increased opportunity to market and deliver their grains to the RJS Mill in Nathalia. The RJS Ag shop in Nathalia will also continue to operate, however it will primarily supply animal feeds, ceasing supply of seed and ag-chem products.

FertGrain’s David Vaughan welcomed the changes.

“FertGrain is delighted with the new arrangement as it will allow each business to focus on and grow its core while maintaining our local presence and supporting the local farming community in Nathalia,” he said.

Fertgrain now incorporating D&D Darlow of Nathalia (February 2020). Daryl & Dianne have owned and operated their sand, gravel & garden supplies business in Nathalia for the past 30 years. We are excited to add this business to our stable of offerings & thank Daryl & Dianne very much for the opportunity & we look forward to serving Nathalia and district with all their sand, gravel & garden supplies needs.
